week 3

  In this lesson we started off by sorting ourselves into our household groups. We organised ourselves into a line facing the back. Miss Evans gave the person at the front of the line a word which sparked movement. 8 counts had to be created. The other two or three people in the group faced towards the back of the room so they could not see the person creating the movement. Once the first person had done, they showed the second person the movement just once whilst the second person tried to remember the movement. They then performed the movement to the next person. Once the movement had got to the end of the line , the creator of the phrase and the last person performed the 8 counts at the same time in order to see what had changed .This repeated until we had 4 motifs all together. However, this meant we had 8 pieces of movement as the piece was slightly different once it got to the end of the line. We then had to create a phrase with all 8 pieces within them in any order. week 1 and 2

    In today’s blog I will be recapping over the first and second choreography lessons of second year. In the lesson we began by getting into small groups of our households. Miss Evans gave each group a picture to write notes on. We made notes on things we could see in the picture, what we thought the meaning behind the photo could be and any information we already knew about the picture. We also wrote down any questions we had about the picture. We then switched the pictures with other groups until we had all wrote notes on each one. This task became harder as the time went on as other groups had already said a lot of our ideas therefore, we had to dig deep in order to find more things to comment on. We also answered some questions that other groups had wrote down on the picture. After this we discussed as a class each picture and noted down each other’s thoughts and feelings around each one.
